Gossip:Mahesh Babu Fake Records To Attract Endorsments
Any actor won't be proud of fake achievements. Any actor wouldn't encourage fake records unless there is a hidden truth behind it. Hyping collection figures has been a trend in film industry to hype their product. Everybody fakes a bit for the sake of hype and hungama. But slowly this has turned into madness with Dookudu movie.
We have seen the producers and hero of this film making 'official' statements that their film has set new benchmark in Tollywood. Dookudu has achieved much more than its actual potential and they were not satisfied with it. This trend was followed by Businessman too. Right from the opening day figures to fifty days centers everything has been faked. This can't be done without the approval of a superstar like Mahesh Babu. Why because ultimately his credibility would be at stake with such acts.
Then why is Mahesh encouraging these fake records? There is an interesting gossip that is making rounds in film nagar regarding this. Mahesh Babu has been endorsing as many as ten brands in Andhra Pradesh and the count has been increasing. Every big company is trying to fix a deal with Mahesh in AP. There is no particular parameter to estimate a star's power, so the companies need some statistics to believe that Mahesh is the biggest star in the state. That is where these fake records have a role to play. These fake numbers are helping Mahesh to earn more per every endorsement it seems as the brands believe that his star power has been growing with each film. Therefore, the star is more than happy to encourage fake records. We don't know how true it is, but it is being heard among the discussions between film circles.

Department will be RGV's most stylish film: Rana
Ram Gopal Varma's past few projects have failed to rock the box office, but actor Rana Daggubati, who has teamed up with the director in Department, is confident that the film will turn out to be one of his most stylish movies.
"Ramu (Varma) dabbles in a lot of genres of films. He is very good with his work, and has a wonderful storytelling pattern, which is most often trendsetting. His film Satya broke stereotype, and Company gave Vivek Oberoi such a great launchpad...I think Department will be one of his most stylish film ever shot," Rana told IANS.
In Department, the southern star will be seen as a grungy policeman - a role that was earlier reserved for Abhishek Bachchan. The film's characters include a don, a gangster, a gangster-turned-politician, and shootout specialists. No wonder it was exciting for Rana to work in it!
"I think Ramu is one filmmaker who has complete understanding of the subject he tackles in his films and likes to accumulate extensive knowledge before venturing out into each theme. Be it underworld or any other subject, his films speak of the research he does.
"Usually Ramu shoots his films quickly, but he has spent a lot of time on Department, which is great. It's a project close to him, and it has been a fantastic experience working with him," he added.
Rana, who made his Bollywood debut in Dum Maro Dum, will be seen with Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt in the movie, releasing May 18.
He is also upbeat about the action sequences in the film.
"Department is a heavy-duty action film. I trained a lot for it, and the training was just in the gym. It had a lot to do with marshall arts, and I easily had 10 to 15 action sequences. So it was fun," said the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile he has also been occupied with the dubbing of Telugu film Naa Ishtam, in which he is paired opposite the recently-married Genelia D'Souza.
"I play a young, brash boy in Naa Ishtam....very different from Department, in which each line that my character says, is measured. Naa Ishtam is a commercial project...I am playing my age, and it was wonderful to work with Genelia. She is way more experienced than I am, but we had a great time," said the actor, who enjoys the diverse content offered to him.
"I made an unconventional debut with Dum Maro Dum. As a launch film, it was different as opposed to others, who would go for a romantic project. So I am happy," he added. (IANS)
Nokia launches 41-MP camera smartphone
London, Feb 28 (ANI): Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled a new smartphone with an unprecedented 41-megapixel camera.
The 450 Euros device, 808 PureView, runs on software that Nokia is reportedly phasing out in favour of the Windows Phone.
The new smartphone, which was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, is expected to launch in Europe in May, The Telegraph reports.
With 41 MP, the phone is able to shoot images that Nokia claims can be printed in "poster size".
Files, however, condense four or five pixels into one, and Nokia claims they are smaller than equivalent products from rivals.
A Carl Zeiss lens shoots in continuous focus HD video, at 1080p.
Mary McDowell, the firm's executive vice president for mobile phones, said the company's engineers had been working on the product "for years".
She said it was "natural" to assume that its technology would be used in other Nokia products in the future.
McDowell added that while the device was larger than its rivals, it was still sized to fit in pockets, rather than replace a full-size camera.
According to the report, the device uses a 1.3GHz processor, comes with 16GB of storage and runs a 4" screen at 360 x 640, which is below HD resolution. (ANI)

Ram Charan's 'Racha' plans to beat Allu Arjun
The bonding between mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej and stylish star Allu Arjun needs no introduction. More than the fact that they are cousins, they have considered themselves to be the best of friends. But now, the time has come for both to cross swords in a different venue.
Apparently, Allu Arjun has got a strong following in Kerala and the Mallu masses call him as Mallu Arjun. But now, it is heard that Cherry is geared up to foray into the same circuit and give competition to Bunny. This is happening through his latest release 'Racha'.
Sources reveal the makers have decided to release 'Racha' in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil simultaneously and the dubbing has been progressing briskly. Charan's target is to create a massive impact down south through this movie and hence this decision. It now remains to be seen whether he will be able to beat the (M)Allu Arjun mania in Kerala or not.

Three missiles against Mahesh Babu!
Superstar Mahesh Babu has been way ahead in the number one race with two big hits in a row. He has three films among the top five all time hits in Tollywood history. Although he doesn't have the number one hit in his name, Mahesh has gained serious pace with Dookudu and Businessman movies. Now it is the time for other close competitors to prove their mettle.
All the three close competitors of Mahesh Babu are coming up with their latest releases this summer. Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh, Junior NTR's Dammu and Ram Charan's Racha are slated for release in summer with a considerable gap between them. All the three movies are riding high on expectations and their fans are expecting these films to be huge hits and thus proving that they are as good as Mahesh when they deliver the goods.
Fans are not expecting them to break the record of Magadheera, but a forty to fifty crore blockbuster will do. Because by doing so they will prove a point that with the changed market strategies and statistics, every superstar can recreate the magic of Dookudu at the box office. So that will keep the 'number one kaun!' debate open and intact. Interesting scenario indeed!

Pawan Kalyan's magic works again
Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has spilled his magic once again, if the Box Office result of 'Ishq' is any indication.
The brand of Powerstar has surely increased the reach of 'Ishq'. His gracious presence at the audio launch of the film is said to be having a big impact on the revenue. Despite Nitin having 12 successive flops under his belt, the opening weekend collections of Ishq are promising and not to forget Pawan here. Ishq is posing a serious threat to Sunil's Poola Rangadu in A and B centres.
Nitin is on cloud nine and has every reason to be happy with the successful run of 'Ishq'. Don't be surprised, if the young crop of heroes queue up before Pawan for that magical touch!!!
